Sabrina Cook

Eagles & Mountain Lions Math Teacher

Sabrina joined the Roots Community School Education team as the middle school classroom teacher in 2021. She is now the Math teacher for the Eagles and Mountain Lions classes. She lives in Chelan with her husband and three boys.

She graduated from UW in 2002 with a Drama degree, then went back to school (Central Washington University) to earn her teaching certificate, a Master's degree in Secondary Math Education, and she later earned her National Board certification. She’s been a teacher for 15 years, the last several of which were at Jackson High School in Mill Creek, WA.

A few words from Sabrina:

“From day one I could see how incredibly different Roots is from every other education experience anyone in our family has ever had. My children love coming to school and I absolutely love teaching the Roots middle schoolers--this is my dream job. The kids are fun to be around because of their kind hearts, their love for learning, and their enthusiasm to discover new things! One of my favorite things about Roots is the presence of parent volunteers in the school on a daily basis. This is truly a community school, where staff, students, and parents all contribute to making it the awesome place that it is!”
