Part-Time Middle School Teacher (2025–26)
Roots Community School is excited to welcome a new part-time Middle School classroom teacher to our team for the 2025–26 school year.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, student-centered educator with experience in creative problem-solving and project-based learning. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and passionate about building authentic connections with students, staff, and families.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching across content areas in a multi-age middle school classroom
Collaborating with colleagues and families
Participating in class outings and experiential learning opportunities
Qualifications:
Valid Washington State teaching certificate
Prior teaching experience required

Teaching at Roots Community School
Our educators are enthusiastic, creative, knowledgeable, flexible and child-centered. They have experience in creative problem-solving and inquiry/project-based education.
Roots teachers implement classroom curriculum across content areas, actively participate in class outings and collaborate with staff and families.
Core classroom teachers have all earned their Washington State Teacher certificate and have successful elementary level teaching experience.
