Mountain Lions Math Teacher

Houston teaches 7th and 8th grade math at Roots Community School. She brings a strong background in Secondary Mathematics Education (Grades 5–12) with a BAE, as well as a Master’s degree in Curriculum Design and Instruction. Her teaching experience spans both middle and high school classrooms in Spokane, WA, and she later founded a tutoring business dedicated to supporting students who learn differently. These experiences strengthened her passion for project-based learning and student-led problem solving, which continue to guide her approach in the classroom.
