Amy Fricke
Amy serves as the Head of Administration and Operations at Roots Community School, where she plays a vital role in keeping our school running smoothly every single day. With exceptional organizational skills and a deep commitment to our mission, Amy oversees all operational functions—including admissions coordination, facilities management, scheduling, compliance, and parent communications. She is the backbone of our school’s day-to-day life, ensuring that teachers and students have the resources and support they need to thrive. Known for her warmth, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset, Amy is not only an outstanding administrator but also a trusted partner to families, staff, and leadership. Her leadership behind the scenes is a huge part of what makes Roots such a well-managed and welcoming place for children and families alike.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle University and is a Registered Nurse. She spent several exciting years caring for patients in the ICU at Children’s Hospital in Seattle and later at the local hospital in Chelan. Her family has been involved with Roots since its very first year, and she has held numerous volunteer and paid positions—both in the classroom and on the administrative side of the organization. This blend of professional healthcare experience and deep institutional knowledge uniquely positions Amy to manage operations with both precision and heart. Her background strengthens Roots’ daily operations and long-term vision, making her an invaluable leader and partner in our community.
