Nesha Bremmeyer

Nesha believes that the best schools are built on relationships. Throughout her career in education, she has found the greatest joy in getting to know students, partnering with families, and supporting educators as they help children discover their unique strengths. Whether she is greeting families at the door, celebrating student successes, or navigating challenges alongside staff, Nesha leads with the belief that every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued.

As Head of School, she is passionate about preserving the heart of Roots while thoughtfully supporting its future. She is committed to fostering a school culture where curiosity, kindness, and belonging are woven into everyday experiences, and where children are encouraged to grow not only as learners, but also as compassionate, confident people. She believes some of the most meaningful learning happens through connection—with one another, with nature, and with the community around us.

Nesha earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology with a minor in Human Development from Washington State University and a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Washington. She is also a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington. Her professional journey has included supporting children, adolescents, and families through both education and mental health, giving her a unique perspective on helping schools nurture the whole child.

Outside of school, you'll often find Nesha spending time with her husband and two children, enjoying life on or near the water, or exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She feels incredibly honored to be part of the Roots community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with families while helping every child experience a school where they feel known, challenged, and inspired.
