Teana Sanderson
Teana is a paraeducator in the Mountain Lions class and has the privilege of supporting and connecting with students at Roots Community School. She has a background in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education and is currently working toward her Registered Behavior Technician certificate. Teana specializes in nurturing students’ growth by discovering their individual strengths, helping them build confidence, and supporting them in ways that make their school experience positive and meaningful.
Her passion for working with children grew naturally from being the youngest of eight in a large, lively family. Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure, she brings a go-with-the-flow attitude to her work each day. Outside of school, Teana loves camping, boating, and spending time with her family—and is excited to marry her best friend next year.
“I feel incredibly thankful for the experiences in my life and the doors that opened for me to be at Roots—a calm, caring environment surrounded by staff, students, and families who share a genuine love for education and community.”
